Responding to the “Now”

There is far too much going on in the world today. Tomorrow all of that will only progress.

We must not forget about the goodness that is still all around.

Although it is hard to find it in such bad happenings, and in signs that seem to scream that the worst has yet to come; we should try our best to seek out the good.

The good is the helping hands and gentle hearts.

When I was younger I read this quote by Fred Rogers:

“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find the people who are helping.’ To this day, especially in times of “disaster,” I remember my mother’s words, and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers – so many caring people in this world.”

I’ve never been able to let go of his words, his mothers, and always find myself directing my thoughts towards the good in situations. I don’t think there has ever been a more relevant time for these wise words.

It’s late so I’ll leave you with this little bit. I hope you are doing so well. God bless!
