“For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them.” 9:19
You and I should be living the gospel everyday, and this is what it has asked from us. God will give us all of the treasure in our hearts, he has already reassured us of that, but what about the what is treasure to the Lord? We are his children, and his treasure. That is why he has called us all to love each other equally. I understand why some tell others to stop hanging around or talking to the “wrong crowd” of people, but what did Jesus do? If your intentions are well, you and I should be loving anyone and everyone the same, as much as you are able to! Might I also remind that it is not at all our place to judge.. That “wrong crowd” needs light just as much as the “right crowd” does, so let’s get out of our comfort zones and start an all love movement!
“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. Give no offense to Jews or to Greeks or to the church of God, just as I try to please everyone in everything i do, not seeking my own advantage, but that of the many, that they may be saved.” 10:31-33
“Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.”
Chapter twelve in 1 Corinthians speaks about spiritual gifts and how we all have different gifts that are given to us by the same spirit.
What kind of gifts do you have? I would really like to know, if you’re up for sharing with me. Gifts just really interest me, and excite me! 🙂
Gifts are amazing and we understand that they are given to us by the One True God, but something that I am starting to better understand is how we all belong to one body. Just like our bodies have many many parts, we are all a part of one big being, and that is Christ. Together we compliment and help each other reach the goals that God has set for us, and we all together make up the entire body of Christ.
Although it may be off topic I cannot help but to feel the need to address suicide right now. I do not, and surely hope that you are not in that kind of place in your life, but something is urging me to say something about it right now. You are needed! You are so valuable to the body of Christ, and although times get so tough and dark and it seems like you have no other options, you absolutely do! Your life could be a key to a story that has yet to be written. By ending it you lose the chance to ever make things right, like you definitely can! Time is nothing to the Lord, and although days may start to seem like weeks if you are in a state of depression there will always be a light that can be found in a time of trial. This is so off from where I meant to go but I need to say these things, and if you find yourself in any place of even an ounce of sadness I want you to know that I am open! Lets talk, be friends, the whole shebang! I want to get to know all of you and love all of you! Keep looking up, and bother me! 🙂
“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own ways; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong doing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.” 13:4-8
Living a life of love eliminates the sting of death. Christ is love and being more like him will aways be my goal.
I love you all so much! That all for 1 Corinthians and gosh it was so good!! I’ll always love this book. I will be covering 2 Corinthians in my next post.. I hope you can join me! 🙂
