“Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.” Luke 23:42-43
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:1-5
Jesus is the Word, Our Father became flesh and came down into the world that He made to dwell among us. Although he was in the world, and the world was made though Him, the world did not receive Him. There were some that did, but most rejected Him. That could seem a lot like the world we are currently living in. We have had better days and better years, but there is one fact that I can’t shake off, and it is this: “the darkness has not overcome it.” Even when the world was nothing but rejection the darkness still could not overcome! The army for Christ has grown since then, and it is my belief that now it is stronger than ever. With no doubt in my heart I believe that the darkness lost a long time ago! We need to claim that every day because it is nothing short from true. There is no room for acting weak, and letting the devil seep through the cracks in our lives. We are stronger than ever, and the devil lost a long time ago! Remind him of your authority over him through Jesus Christ.
“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him.” John 3:17
That is the fulfillment of the scriptures and of God’s purpose. We ought to follow the role of Christ and the role that has been spoken over our lives as children of God. Believe, do works, and live for God so that the world might be saved though you, and what you teach, His Word.
That is all for today’s devo, I hope you all have a wonderful blessed day! Until tomorrow 🙂
