60 Day New Testament Journey ~ Day 8-11 The Gospel of Mark Catch-up!

“He commands even the unclean spirits and they obey Him.” 1:27

“Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteousness, but sinners.” 2:16

“If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.” 3:24-25

Taking her by the hand he said to her, “Talitha cumi,” Which means, “Little girl I say to you, arise.” 5:41

Just a touch of the fringe of Jesus’ garments and strong faith made thousands well.

“Hear me, all of you, and understand: There is nothing outside a person that by going into him can defile him, but things that come out of a person are what defile him.” 7:15 – It’s what comes out of the heart that can defile a person.

“I believe, help my unbelief!”

“Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Remove this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.” 14:36

“Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes, and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover” 16:15-18

Reading through the days leading up to the Crucifixion, Burial, and Resurrection is something that I feel like will never get easy, and to be quite honest will all of you I had no idea that Mark was all in all a replica of Matthew. Odd eh? I feel like I should have known that, but at least now I do! I tried to make this post as short as I could because I will be moving on to the Gospel of Luke tonight as well! I’m sorry for these past few days of no posts. I have just been so busy and I never could catch enough time to sit and write. I hope you are doing so well and I will talk to you in a bit!

Oh! One last thing/update – I will be mashing the devotional and combining two days together from now on so that I have empty days where I can post more personal posts and just let y’all lovely people know what I have been up to/spill emotions. It should be super fun and hopefully this way you can get to know me better and what not! šŸ™‚
