“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.” 25:31
When we feed the hungry, give water to the thirty, clothe the naked, visit the sick and the ones in prison in the eyes of Jesus we are doing these things to Him. Those who did all of these things will be welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven, but as for those that don’t He will say this: “As you did not so it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.” 25:45
Judas was paid thirty pieces of silver to deliver Jesus over to the chief priests. – How much would you receive to deliver Jesus into the hands of the enemy? How much do you sell Jesus off for in a day? Is it simple pleasures? Quick life fixes? Maybe it’s even something lighter like a lie, or stealing. When you chose a sin over Jesus that is the choice you thought was of more importance and value than Him.
“The Spirit is indeed willing, but the flesh is weak” 26:41
Jesus is worth it! He showed us that He thought we were worth it, and I think the life we should live is one that give that back to Him. He is worth trial and error, He is worth picking yourself up again and not giving up, He is worth a disciplined life and all of your time.
The Death and Resurrection was so that the Scriptures could be fulfilled.
Reading everything that led up to the Crucifixion, and the Crucifixion is so hard and heart breaking it really pains me, but there was something that I found to be just wow! in between it all, if that makes sense, and it is this: “When the centurion and those who were with Him, keeping watch over Jesus, saw the earthquake and what took place, they were fulled with awe and said, “Truly this was the Son of God!” 27:54 That was their divine appointment!! God knew what would happen in those peoples lives and although they had just witnessed such pain and I cannot imagine how they must have felt. I am sure that God in Heaven knew what would convince them of Jesus Christ, and Him being the Son of God. Amazing!!
Our Final Calling – “Jesus came and said to them, “All Authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of all the age.” 28:18-20
