60 Day New Testament Journey ~ Day 5 Matthew 17-20

“If you have faith like the grain of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” 17:20

Jesus lets us know that even the smallest amount of faith is enough to do huge things! We just have to have it.

Jesus foretells His Death and Resurrection again – “The Son of Man is abut to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him, and he will be raised on the third day.” 17:22-23

We told to have childlike faith. A child will not question what is told to him by his father, and just like that we should not question the Bible and the word of God.

The love of our Father – A man would not leave his 99 sheep if one gets lost, but our Father would. He would sacrifice everything for us to be brought home to Him again.

Just as the Father was and is quick to forgive our hearts from sin, we should be quick to forgive our brother and sisters.

Jesus Foretells His death for a third time – “See, we are going up to Jerusalem. And the Son of Man will be delivered over the chief of priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death and deliver him over the gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified, and he will be raised on the third day.” 20:18-19

“So the last will be first, and the first last.” – Matthew 19:30 & 20:16

Hope you are all doing well on this lovely Mother’s Day! That is all for today’s devo. Tomorrow i will be reading Matthew 21-24. Until Tomorrow, stay great!60 🙂
